GLOVER ROAD NORTH

NEW DESTINATION — SIGNATURE TREE PRESERVED — NO VARIANCES NEW DESTINATION
SIGNATURE TREE PRESERVED
NO VARIANCES

to preserve our 75 year-old walnut tree we wanted to propose an amazing destination designed around it. so we did.

3d

KEY FACTS TO KNOW

  • single restaurant unit, set back from the sidewalk along the northern property line

  • single story, no variances

  • all required parking

  • prominent 75 year-old walnut tree at the sidewalk, but on private property, will be preserved

The proposal is well below the permitted site coverage as well, with access from Glover Road the only option.

There isn't enough street frontage to provide for the required vehicla access, locate a building and preserve the walnut tree. To preserve the tree, the building must be located where it is.

CURRENT STATUS

Glover Road North has been under review by the Township of Langley's Community Development Divison since September 2020. They have requested minor changes, also now completed and submitted.

In February and March, 2021, the proposal was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Heritage Review Panel and the Heritage Advisory Committee.

There is currently no known timeline for its potential consideration by Council, or for construction to begin.
